A delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs led by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade has departed for the United States at the invitation of the US-China Business Council. The visit creates a new channel for direct commercial contact while economic relations remain a central part of the bilateral agenda.
The delegation will travel to Washington, DC, Utah and Illinois. Its program includes meetings with US government and business representatives rather than activity in a single commercial center.
More than 10 business exchanges and matchmaking events are planned with American institutions and companies. CCPIT spokesperson Yang Fan presented the trip as an opportunity to connect firms and identify areas for practical cooperation.
The group includes 22 Chinese companies from sectors associated with the country's industrial upgrading. Their composition places established manufacturers alongside newer technology businesses.
Gotion High-tech and Unilumin represent companies working in the green transition, while FlectoThink and Beijing Martian Vision Technology specialize in frontier technologies. The delegation therefore combines industrial capacity, low-carbon activity and emerging technical applications.
Yang said the companies would explain China's latest measures for high-quality development and high-standard opening. The stated objective is to expand contact between the two business communities and support stable economic and trade relations.
China's trade-promotion system issued 44,600 certificates of origin for exports to the United States in the first half of 2026. Those certificates covered goods worth 2.95 billion dollars, a year-on-year increase of 13.38 percent.
By the end of June, the CCPIT had approved 150 projects for Chinese companies to participate in US exhibitions during 2026. Eighty-seven had already taken place in the first half of the year and involved nearly 2,000 Chinese enterprises, giving the new delegation a broader base of commercial exchanges to build on.
