The Foreign Dispatch is an independent global news and analysis platform committed to understanding international affairs through a plurality of perspectives.
We believe the world cannot be adequately explained from a single capital, political tradition or cultural viewpoint. Global events take on different meanings depending on where they are experienced. For that reason, our editorial approach is multicentric: we seek to examine international developments not only from the centers of global power, but also through the societies, regions and communities directly affected by them.
Our purpose is to connect the global with the local. We cover politics, diplomacy, economics and security while respecting the historical experiences, political languages and priorities of each place. Local perspectives are not treated as secondary reactions to a global agenda defined elsewhere. They are essential sources of knowledge for understanding how the world works.
A diversity of voices
The Foreign Dispatch provides space for different voices, traditions and interpretations. We believe meaningful international coverage requires intellectual openness and serious engagement with perspectives that may diverge from one another.
